The RCIA is the Church’s official process for welcoming adults into the Catholic faith. Its origins go back to the early Church, when new believers were guided through a period of learning and formation before being fully received into the Christian community.
Today, this journey continues through the RCIA programme — a structured and supportive way to explore Catholic teaching, spirituality, and life.
This course is open to:
Those considering becoming Catholic (whether baptised in another Christian tradition or not)
Anyone who wishes to deepen their understanding of the Catholic faith
No prior knowledge is needed — just a heart open to learning and growing.
One evening session per week
Online via Zoom or Skype
Spread over several months
For those who feel ready, it may culminate in being received into the Church during the Easter Vigil
Drawing on Scripture, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and other trusted sources, sessions include:
The Old and New Testaments
The Trinity
The life of Jesus and the role of Mary
Sin, Forgiveness, and Grace
The Sacraments (Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Marriage)
Death and Resurrection
Teachings and traditions of the Church
We warmly welcome:
Sponsors to accompany and support individuals through their journey
Prayer partners, including the housebound, who can spiritually support candidates from home
