At Confirmation, the graces received in Baptism are sealed by the receiving of the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit – wisdom, knowledge, right judgement, understanding, courage, piety and fear of the Lord. This is the full outpouring of the Holy Spirit as was once given to the apostles on the day of Pentecost. As such, Confirmation (whether for child or adult) is usually administered by the Bishop who is the successor of the apostles. It calls us to be missionary witnesses of Jesus in our families and in society.
Usually, registration for Confirmation takes place in the Parish Hall after Easter. Please keep an eye on the parish newsletter to find more information.
