A baptised Catholic, having reached “the age of reason” and so having made a first confession in order to be in a state of grace, may then receive the true presence of Christ in their First Holy Communion. As Christ indicated at the Last Supper, the Eucharist contains the whole spiritual good of the Church, namely Christ Himself, and so is the source and summit of a Christian life.
Registration for this usually takes place in the Parish Hall after Christmas. Please keep an eye on the parish newsletter to find more information. If an adult, this similar process will be explained in the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (see RCIA course on our website).
